I just graduated from the University of California with a B.A. in Music. I'm currently looking for some part-time work while honing my musical skills as a singer, guitarist, pianist, and sound engineer. I would love to teach your kids about music if they are interested. I have been involved in the care of kids with special needs through an organization called Cornerstone House of Santa Barbara. We would provide a 2 week summer camp experience as one-on-one counselors. We spent a lot of time playing sports in the park, creating art, and visiting fun locations like the Santa Barbara Zoo. I also helped care for 2 separate individuals (12 and 15) before and after camp, transporting them to and fro. The kids I worked with at camp ranged from ages 7-16. I was a babysitter for a boy and girl (age 5 and 3 respectively) when I lived in Read more New York for a few months (usually for one night a week). I have also been babysitting 2 young boys about one night every 2 weeks for the last few months. We spent a good deal of time playing legos, board games, and reading great books. They were half Danish and got quite a laugh out of making me try to read books to them in their native language. I think kids should spend as much time as possible outside and honing their creativity. Being active and health-minded is a crucial part of life. I hope I can be a positive role model for your children!
