I've loved kids ever since I was little - honestly, when I was in daycare I used to make my mom take me in to see the babies in the next room every day - and that has sustained my entire life. In addition to working with all the kids younger than myself in my family (a 13yr old, 9yr old, 3yr old from birth, as well as a few others while they were very young), in my senior year of high school I helped in the elementary section of my school in a Pre-K 3 class, a couple days a week. To date, that was the most rewarding "job" I've ever held. After I moved to California in 2013, I sustained an injury that has kept me from working regularly since, but recently I'm getting back to where I can work and I immediately thought to reach out and Read more work with local families that need help with their kids. As I write this, I'm looking up where to renew my CPR certification, so I'll be able to have that later on, and I want to renew my additional certification in the Heimlich maneuver, both for adults and children. I have my own car and live alone temporarily, until my fiancee moves in with me, and my house has several cats (as well as fosters) that come and go - so I wouldn't be a good pick for any kids with cat allergies. But I am comfortable with pets, errands, transportation, and cooking small meals as well. (I make the BEST mac 'n' cheese ever!) I'm comfortable with kids of all ages, any gender, and I'm happy to help out in the house where needed as well, including helping with shopping and such if that's needed. I'm also beginning to look into degrees for actually moving into the childcare field. I adore kids and would love to help out anyone in need of it!
