I am comfortable and can connect with all age groups from helpless infants to stubborn teenagers. I studied childhood development and psychology in college and worked as a dedicated nanny for 2 of the 12 years of my sitting, teaching, and tutoring for the kids. I believe sitting is about more than simply an adult presence. The kids should have the opportunity to learn and experience something new and exciting as a result of someone new in their life while the familiar adults (parents) are absent. I have taught kids how to read, construct popsicle stick villages, record songs and homemade music videos, etc. I even have several kid and teenage references to speak to the dynamic fun while in my care.
