Meet Ashley

  • Speaks English and Spanish
  • Comfortable with pets

For the past few years I have been working with Star Arts Education a music and theater based program for children in Gilroy. I have been a teaching artist with them and a before/ after care provider. My experience includes classroom based settings and one-on-one time with children. I have a CPR certification for infants and children and I am First aid certified. I enjoy my work with children because I find their enthusiasm and energy contagious more than anything. I enjoy playing games with children and helping them grow in a fun and safe environment. When working with children I find that encouraging them to be communicative with art, music, and language allows them to become confident and emotionally mature. I am bilingual; although my stronger language is English I have a strong command of Spanish as well. The majority of my experience lies with school-aged children however I Read more also have some experience with toddlers. I hope to become a consistent care giver for your child or children because I believe a stable, consistent care-giver is best for the child's environment.
