I have been babysitting and working with children since I was 14 years old and have always loved the joy they bring. From 2009-2011, I worked at a public pool in my hometown. My duties included teaching group and private swim lessons to kids from ages 6 months- 18, lifeguarding, and being a camp counselor during our summer & holiday swim camps. Some of my private lessons also included teaching children with special needs such as autism and deafness. From 2012-2013, I worked as a Teachers Aide at an on campus Infant Toddler Daycare (Ages 6months-3yrs). My duties included preparing bottles, changing diapers, helping prepare meals, feeding, administering nap time, cleaning all play spaces daily, washing dishes, doing laundry, accompany teachers and children on walks, and just generally playing with the kids and ensuring they had a good day! Throughout 2009-Present I have also worked with children in live theater, Read more helping to ensure their safety and making sure they are to their entrances on time with the props they need. Additionally throughout 2009-Present I have babysat independently for professors, past students, and friends of family. Overall I have had wide variety of experience in working with children of all ages and from different walks of life. I truly enjoy getting to know each child as an individual and ensure they have a fun experience while also providing safe top-notch care. I try to ensure the child maintains the same schedule and follow the same rules as he or she would if the parents are home. Light housework in relation to childcare (i.e. cooking, dishwashing, and tidying up after playtime) are not foreign to me. I also feel comfortable taking/picking up kids to/from lessons and practices, helping with homework, or running quick errands if needed or desired.
