While I have never attended a "school" for training or certifications in babysitting, I believe that being a mother to a 3 1/2 year old is the best kind of training there is. I'm sure we can all agree being a mother/parent doesn't require schooling, (although sometimes I wish there had been a handbook that I could have referred to when my son was born). Having said that, the experience we gain on a daily basis as a parent is the most valuable training there is. I periodically watch my niece and nephew ages 6 and 4. I am a single mother that is looking for the opportunity to help make a difference in someone's life, while at the same time being able to provide for my own son.
