I'm aging out of my "Mom!" role (my children range between 19 and 31 years old) and there are no grand-babies on my horizon -- babysitting is a natural fit for me. All aspects of care-giving are enjoyable for me, but creativity, reading together, and patience are my specialties. I'm an active person and have a wide variety of other talents to bring to my work. I'm an avid reader and my varied personal interests make me a great homework helper for the older set as well. My Red Cross First Aid certification is probably expired but this can be refreshed if required. I have a solid personal background in one-on-one teaching and interacting with children on the autism spectrum, including goal setting, program design, record-keeping, etc., but no outside credential related to this.
