I'm a retired young grandma looking for a part-time or occasional position caring for children. I've successfully raised two beautiful girls, have three stepchildren, and am blessed with four wonderful grandchildren. I currently am a mid-week nanny for a wonderful pair of 3 year old twin boys with special needs. I also care for a beautiful 4 month old baby two days per week. When our own children had babies, I was fortunate enough to be able to stay with them for a month to help the new mommies. In December 2013, I retired from a 24 year career as a Sr. Lab Technician in chemistry and geology at a local college, I worked closely with students of all ages. In 2012, I was named Employee of the Year at the same college. I have a degree in Geology and Foreign Languages and two certificates from UCI. Now, as I'm retired, I am Read more excited to work with younger children. I love animals, science and nature, hiking, camping, travel, books, museums and concerts. I encourage good nutrition and sustainable living. My husband and I are volunteers with the US Forest Service. Our family enjoys hosting foreign students, and we have made many friends from around the world. I am patient, compassionate, smart, reliable and loving. I'm extremely healthy and not afraid of hard work. I have a lot to offer the right family.

I was sooo nervous leaving my dog with a stranger for the first time, but Jamie was very reassuring, and all of her reviews were excellent! We were gone for 4 days and she did a great job! She and her 18 yr old daughter are a great team!
