I am a 23 year-old college student in my last year at the University of Oregon, studying sociology. I come from a family of 5, born and raised in Berkeley, California. I love animals, art/creativity, outdoors activities, cooking, and just learning new things everyday. I have grown up babysitting kids on a weekly basis. In addition, I spent a summer as a nanny for two children, ages 5 and 8. I have experience with children with challenging behaviors and psychological struggles. I have also done a lot of teaching assisting in art classes and have experience with dealing with many kids at a time. Childcare is something that I feel passionate about and as I have been studying sociology I have discovered that I am dedicated in going to grad school to become a psychologist, with the goal focus of working with children and adolescents who are struggling with traumatic Read more events or normal growth. I believe that kids have so much to give and I want to be a part in helping them flourish. My compassion and patience with kids comes extremely naturally to me, and I have taken classes on child development and early childhood education, as well as psychology classes in my past studies. I am great with dealing with kids who exhibit phobias/fears, learning struggles, disabilities or pretty much anything.
