I am a 21 year old college student in Fullerton, california. I have babysat for many family members and family friends, and referred families since the age of about 15. I can care for newborns up to early teens. I am trained in child care, due to 6 years as a head day camp leader (being responsible for up to 12 children ages 4 to 12). I have also been a youth sports coach for 5 years for ages 5 to 12. I am confortable with any age range. I do not have any children or pets, but served as a vital part in raising a 5 and 7 year old for most of their lives while their father was in a different country. I have volunteered over 17000 hours in the past 9 years and have been named the Citys Youth of the Year 3 times in a row. I do not have any particular care giving philosophies, however, I will address some depending on the situation and the parent's desires. I do well working on my own to careing for youngsters, and I am very arts and crafty, creative, outgoing and I love coming up with new ideas and games and crafts for kids to enjoy. I am very mature for my age, but I still understnad how to balance a healthy level of fun and enjoyment,. I know how to have a safe time, but also how to be serious. I work well under pressure, I know how to solve problems quickly and effectively and I do wellin stressful, decision making situations. I will not encourage, influence, or force these hobbies upon any child, UNLESS the parents would like me to, then I am willing to teach anything!! *another note: i am a military girlfriend.. Just another example of how I do well coping on my own and handling things on my own. I am used to fending for mylef, and in the future plan to have to provide for my children alone someday as well possibly... I believe in providing a safe, comforting, welcoming, and open environment for an family I am honored enough to work with.
