I am a naturopathic medical student currently enjoying my first summer of freedom after a long and difficult first year of medical school! I really enjoy (and miss) working with children and have had a lot of experience doing so. The two years prior to enrolling in medical school I worked full time at a neurofeedback clinic where children were my primary clientele, most of which were special needs children. Before that I was a nanny to two amazing French children (ages 6 and 8) five days per week for one year. Throughout high school and college I worked on the weekends as a babysitter for children of all ages, including infants. I had one daily and consistent after school babysitting job during my senior year of high school as well. Having had a sibling and many cousins much younger than me, I have been involved in child care from Read more a very young age. I consider it invaluable experience for both my career and personal life and more importantly I have a lot of fun doing it. I like to spend a lot of time outside and enjoy playing sports which is something I always try to incorporate into my babysitting. I also feel that fostering creativity through art, music, or even reading is important and have usually made that a part of my babysitting routine in the past. I am extremely easy going and flexible and will always respect any specific requirements or regulations the parents may have for their children.
