I am a nurturing and experienced caregiver seeking a full-time or part-time position with a family. I am interested in working as a nanny for one family while also continuing to care for my daughter. Along with being passionate about working with children, I am also a devoted wife and a mother to my 3 year old son and 13 month old daughter. This is considered a nanny position since I do not currently have a home daycare license, therefore by law I can care for children from one family in my La Mesa home. I knew at an early age that I wanted to work with children. I have experience with infants to school age. I was a nanny, and then taught preschool for two years while in college. Over the next couple years, I maintained relationships with several of my preschool families and continued to babysit and care for their children. Once I received my teaching credential, I worked as a substitute teacher in various school districts and began working for a company as an instructor. Shortly after becoming an instructor, I took the position as a Director of Education and then Center Director for the next 9 years. I eventually left the company to have my son. During the time I have been blessed to be at home with my children, I did have the opportunity to nanny for a family with two children for a year of that time. I returned to work in the business of online tutoring a year ago, but decided to return to what I find most fulfilling. Together with my 20 plus years of child care experience I am eager to provide a loving and supportive environment while offering fun and educational activities. I encourage learning through play, daily story time, music and movement, sensory play, creative play, outdoor activities, and art. I consider myself a detailed oriented and organized individual. Also, as a mom myself, I understand the importance of a clean space for children to play in. I am CPR / First Aid certified. I have completed fingerprinting and background checks in the past and would be willing to bring those current if needed. My references are available upon request.
