Perhaps she could do some fill in babysitting, for a family who does not really need the help? Or does not mind if she cancels last minute. She seemed promising when she committed to Mon, Wed and Fridays. I even confirmed at 8:00 AM on Monday she would be arriving at 2:00. She replied "Yup!". Unfortunately, 2 hours before she was supposed to show up for training she cancelled. She cited that she had to study for finals. I agree that school is the most important thing, but at 20 years old she knew she had finals when she took the position. She did not handle it in a mature way. In my opinion, she is not serious about looking for a real job. Maybe just wants to babysit or arrive at work at her own leisure and convenience. I would skip and save yourself the hassle.
