Hello! My name is Vanessa. I am a Child and Family Studies major at Long Beach State University and will be receiving my bachelors degree in fall 2016. I have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Infant/Toddler Care. I currently hold a California Child Development Teacher Permit and I am fingerprinted through Live Scan. My experience working with children has been in a preschool setting as well as a home setting. I am currently working as a permanent part-time babysitter for a wonderful family with two children ages 2.5 and 5.5. I also have worked as an infant/toddler teacher at the Long Beach Day Nursery with children 6 months to 30 months old. I am very passionate about working with young children and helping them grow and develop to their best potential. Although my certifications are currently expired, I have 5 years of experience practicing infant, child, and adult CPR and First-Aid from working as a lifeguard at a water park and gym in Northern California.
