I am a recent UCLA graduate, looking to nanny or babysit for supplemental income to the awesome job I have as a P.E. Instructor in the South Bay. While I work in the SB, I live in L.A. near Hancock Park, so I am willing to babysit or nanny in both areas. I am in need of the extra income because my agreement with my parents was that they'd support me financially through most of college, and now that I'm graduated I need to be fully self-supporting. My job as a P.E. Instructor is great, but it provides most and not all of the income necessary to meet my living expenses. I have babysat for an infant (5-7 days a week for her first year), for a 3 year old during the birth of his sister (he was very cranky and tired during this process as you might imagine or Read more well know), I have been teaching 2 year olds up to 16 year olds ballet, yoga, and dance for three years, and I have nannied family friends' kids for several years as well. I know very well the patience the job requires, but I am also intelligent and crafty so I can help kids with homework (I have tutored in the past), I can cook them dinner (one of my clients can attest to this, her kids love my salads), I can let them be or supervise them closely, and do all of this gently and compassionately. I am really great with kids because we get along but also because I am sensitive to their individual ages and can be firm when necessary. I have a car, license, and reliable income so I don't need to worry about paying for gas or paying for something the kids need and asking to be paid back later by the parents. I've honestly been stopped on the sidewalk and asked if I babysit because I talk to kids so easily and naturally. Pick me! :)
