Coming from a very large family, I've been babysitting family members since I was 12 year olds. The summer before going into 7th grade, my Aunt gave me a "crash course" in babysitting. I stayed with her and helped her with her three young kids, at the time aged 6 months- 7 year olds. After that experience I became a nanny for my neighbors for over two year olds. When I started working with them they had three kids, two girls aged 1 year and 4 year olds, and one boy 6 years. Within the year they had another baby boy. Unfortunately they had to move to a bigger house because of their expanding family. Since then I have been babysitting on and off for family friends and neighbors with children aged 6 months to 8 year olds. I was also a Girl Scout Camp Counselor for 5 summers in Read more a row (2008-2013) and currently tutor children once a week at an elementary school. I have always loved working with children and hope to make it a more regular facet of my life while at college.
