Hello My name is Melissa Purves, I am a 28 year old female with over 15 years of experience in caring for children of all ages. I recently moved back to the wonderful community of Long Beach and I am looking for a family to help and grow with. I am very fairly flexible with hours, ok with early mornings and late date nights, and available on short notice. I am a very active person, I like to be outside and don't like putting children in front of the TV, although I do love watching Star Wars. In my free time I love to ride my bike, go to yoga on the bluff, hike the beautiful mountains of Southern California, cook healthy meals, read, paint and tie dye, and I volunteer at the Museum of Latin American Art. I have experience with new borns; feeding them, taking them for walks, helping prepare food, doing laundry and the dishes. I also have experience working with children 2 years old until high school age; helping with pick up and drop offs, helping with homework and preparing meals, going for adventures, watching over night, helping with house work. I own a 2005 Prius that is insured and I have a great driving record. I am comfortable driving anywhere in Long Beach and as far as Los Angeles or Orange County. I am available for early morning drop offs, after school pick ups, taking to extra circular activities, and running errands. I am CPR and first aid certified and have passed a background and vehicle check through sitterycity, and when I volunteered at Girls INC.
