I am a part-time touring musician, which means I am sometimes gone for extended periods of time. However, it also means that I am home with an open availability just as often, (if not more). My schedule is flexible and I could potentially be available to babysit for weeks at a time. I love working with children. I have been a reliable babysitter for neighbors, family, and co-workers for the past decade. I have given drum lessons to kids ages 10-13 in the past, and I have many cousins ages 2-13 who I look after often. I also grew up with a younger sister, who I babysat throughout my adolescence. I thoroughly enjoy spending time and getting silly / creative with kids of all ages. I love animals and grew up with dogs, fish, and rabbits. I'm comfortable around all pets. I have taken CPR and First Aid training multiple Read more times, but would need to renew my certification, which I am happy to do if required. I studied Music Industry at Drexel University in Philadelphia with a minor in Business. I earned money in college through working at a bakery, babysitting for neighbors, and touring the country with my band. I recently moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in a creative industry. I believe babysitting could be a fulfilling way to earn money as I continue to achieve my creative goals. As for my caregiving philosophy, I believe it is most important to fulfill the parents' wishes and instructions. I do not feel comfortable deciding what is "right" or "wrong" for your child to eat, watch, say, do, etc. My job, as I see it, is to respect and enforce the rules you have made for your home and child. Though I do not have my own car, I am a licensed driver with a perfectly clean driving record. I consider myself to be a safe and responsible driver. I would be just as happy to watch your kid(s) inside the house or partake in activities within walking distance from your home if that is preferred. I am well-rounded and enjoy arts and crafts, music, movies, outdoor games and sports, etc. I am flexible and willing to do whatever it takes (within reason) to make you and your child feel comfortable, safe, and happy.
