For as long as I can remember, I have had an interest in children's education and childcare. Coming from a large family, I have always been used to working with and teaching children. My first "gigs" were caring for my nine younger siblings, but I eventually moved to babysitting neighborhood kids, tutoring at my local middle school and elementary schools, and babysitting for graduate students at my university. My roles have varied greatly from work in libraries as a computer assistant, art assistant, literary coach, and after-school activity programmer to working in schools as a teacher’s assistant and tutor. I have sought teaching opportunities across the United States and abroad in China and Ghana. At this point in my life, I have worked with children from all different socioeconomic backgrounds, personality styles, disciplinary problems, interests, and ages; and my experiences with them have always been great.
