I love working with children. In high school, I worked in the school's preschool program where I learned a lot about the growth and development of children along with designing lesson plans. Then, I worked in a YMCA after school program where we cared for elementary age children, organized games and learning activities and made sure the children were safe and having lots of fun. I went on to work as an Infant Teacher/Closer in a day care. There were multiple times that I was alone with 10+ children ages 0-12. I would care for the children, arrange activities, prepare meals, communicate with parents/guardians, and clean the day care. This is where I learned my most important skills: balance and patience. I have a gift with working with children that comes very naturally. I know how to assure fun and safety while also establishing boundaries and respect. Most recently, I Read more worked as a nanny for twin two-year-old's. I got the girls up in the morning, got them ready, gave them baths, fed them breakfast/lunch/snacks, took them out every day (zoo, parks, aquarium, botanical gardens, explora, library, etc.), gave them nap time and communicated detailed daily reports with the parents. One of the girls was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and our bond was amazing. I was able to connect and communicate with her very effectively. I always made sure she was safe and having fun. I learned a lot on how to properly handle situations and was able to recognize and strengthen her many gifts. Through my experience working with children I realized that there really isn't anything more beautiful than being a part of a child's growth. I am a very caring person, you and your children will love me!
