My name is Abie and I'm from West Los Angeles (Westchester). I am a healthy food lover, beauty aficionado and travel enthusiast. I have been involved in child care since I was 16 years old when I became a teacher's assistant to the 4 y.o. class at my church's Sunday school (St. Jerome Church, LA). I continued that line of volunteering with children in the classroom for two years. More recently, I worked for LAUSD's No Child Left Behind program where I tutored 4th grade students for 1-on-1 private tutoring sessions--in both home and library settings. I quickly became close with one of my tutoring clients, and eventually began babysitting the family's three children (ages 2, 7 & 9) after my weekly tutoring sessions. While babysitting the children, I helped to heat and serve dinner, kept the children entertained with games and activities, and also changed dirty diapers.
