I am currently an uprising third year in Smith College, while in Massachusetts I work for an organization called Homework House where I help tutor children that need assistance not only with homework but English language proficiency since most of the kids are Spanish speakers. That being said I am fluent in both English and Spanish and am able to teach both if desired. All throughout high school I would take care of and tutor a child with autism who I learned a lot from, one significant thing I learned from him was the importance of patience and gentleness. I also volunteered in programs such as LA's Best and America Reads' Reading Partners. I have worked with a diverse amount of children with different comprehension levels and different backgrounds, this has made me adaptable to the children that I take care of.
