I am a recent graduate of UCLA with my B.S. in Women Studies and a minor in pre-medicine. I am currently finishing up prerequisites for a Master's program as a Physician's Assistant with a specialty in pediatrics. I am a Certified Nurse Assistant which means I am certified for CPR with infants/toddlers and also certified for advanced basic life support, both which I could provide documentation of upon request. I am completely pet friendly, as I have a dog of my own whom I can bring along or not depending on the family's preferences. I have no kids of my own. I currently volunteer at the Los Angeles Mission in downtown for a few hours every week. I am fluent in Spanish/English. I am a responsible driver with a driver's license and a reliable car. I do not like to impose any personal caregiving philosophies on the children I sit Read more for since I believe it's best to follow the individual parents' ideology and the phiolosophies they have developed for their children. I have been a nanny to a wonderful family for the past 2 years, for two children of the ages 8 and 12. The only reason I am leaving this family of 2 years is because I've been recently hired full time, which made me unavailable to them in the early afternoons. However, I love working with kids and I would enjoy very much to continue caring for children in late evenings/weekends. I also occassionally babysit for another family of 3 children for the past year or so, with the kids ranging in ages 4-12. Additionally, I have vast amount of personal babysitting experience due to my large family background and neighbors whose kids have ranged from 6 months-13 years of age. My responsbilities when sitting have included: supervising homework, driving children to activities, preparing healthy meals for the children, play interactive games such as pretend/board games/arts/crafts, prepare children for bedtime, bathing of toddlers, light house work, etc.
