Greetings!  My name is Lisa Coombs and I am currently seeking part-time work as a babysitter or mother's helper in the West Hollywood area.  I am thirty-six years old and I have been babysitting since I was thirteen, so you might say I've been doing this for a while!  In addition to working for many individual families I have also worked as a drama teacher and daycamp counselor.  I love kids and I'm great at connecting with them and developing a rapport very quickly.  I have experience with all age groups and temperaments so I'm ready to handle just about anything.  My favorite kids' activities are playing board games, reading books and doing arts and crafts- but I'm happy to join them in any activity they like (unless it's drawing on the walls of course!)  I've got the energy to run around with them but I can also calm them Read more down when it's time for bed (I sing lullabies!).  As an actor I am naturally entertaining and creative as well as warm, caring and nurturing.  If these are the qualities you are looking for in a sitter then you should give me a call!

Lisa looked after our daughter ('G') both during the afternoons as well as in the evenings during our recent one week visit to Beverly Hills. She was always on time and listened carefully to our guidelines on how to take care of 16 month old G. Lisa could also think on her feet and handled jet lagged G well. Lisa was also quite flexible in terms of moving the hours around. It was lovely to see that G actually enjoyed spending time with Lisa, which is testament to how Lisa actually cared and played rather than just put in the hours. A big thank you from us all!

Lisa was one of the few applicants to follow through on my job posting. She responded quickly and was very polite and great about communicating during the initial emails to set up a preliminary interview. I liked her right away! She has a very sweet, calming presence and was so friendly with my daughter who was shy meeting her at first. She came with a resume and list of references. I hired her for an upcoming event we had and all went perfectly. We confirmed the job that morning and she was right on time. She listens and asks questions when going over the details for the job. My daughter told me how much she had fun with her sitter all the next day! They played outside, read books, and had a great time. Lisa was an all around awesome sitter. I definitely look forward to hiring her again and again!

We met with Lisa and although we did not end up hiring her, had a very nice interview with her. She was prompt, polite, and comfortable around our child. She seems like a responsible and fun caretaker.
