Hi! My name is Samantha-- I'm 28 years old, a part-time yoga instructor, and graduate of The University of San Diego. I love kids and animals! My first big babysitting experience was my sophmore year of high school when I went to Nashville, Tennessee to nanny for three kids (ages 8 mo., 2 years, and 7 years) for three weeks. During my 4 years attending University, I babysat for a family in La Jolla (8 year old daughter), and worked for them part-time/mostly evenings. When I moved to L.A., I started babysitting two girls-- ages 4 and 2-- living in Brentwood at the time. I babysat the two girls for a couple years-- mostly nights for when the parents went to dinner/events, but also sometimes babysat the girls for full days-- Walking to the park to play/be outdoors, preparation of healthy lunch/snacks, arts and crafts, dress-up, pick-up from playdates at Read more times, baths, and story-time/bed time. The family recently moved to Chicago due to a job opportunity and immediate family residing there, but I am hoping to find a similar part-time nanny job with an amazing family :) Currently, I am looking for a part-time babysitting/nannying job during the weekends. I live in Prunedale/Salinas and am a very active person (I love yoga, hiking, riding bikes, running, and snowboarding during winter), and am great with homework help as well! I have a teaching background being a yoga instructor and absolutely love helping kids with school work if needed! Also, very orderly/clean, and happy to help with any light housework where needed. As a nanny, I am a strong believer in fully engaging with the kids I care after, and encouraging their strengths and abilities through play and crafts. They have so much imagination and creativity inside of them, I love encouraging the creativity in kids and allowing them to do things on their own, such as help with baking something and helping to clean up whenever a mess is made. I am very personable, patient, and responsible. I can multi-task, am CPR certified, have a reliable/safe vehicle and clean driving record, and am a happy/enthusiastic person by nature :) Thank you for your time, I look forward to hopefully hearing from you soon!
