Hello, I recently had a baby and went back to my corporate job, only to find that my passion is really not just my baby, but children in general. My professional experience in childcare began when I was 17 years old. Then, I took care of two brothers - a 5 and a 7 yr/o- and their 2yr/o in Orange County. I worked for that family for about two years, then never stopped working with children as I was putting myself through school. At some point, I worked for three different families in the same period of time. one of them was a weekend position and I split the other days of the week with the other two families. As I was trying to earn a position in the corporate world, I started doing less and less childcare, but I still took child development and psychology classes, simply because I Read more wanted to still learn more about children. Then came my nephews, for whom I have been a second mom at times since they were born. They are now 6 and 7yrs/o. With a new baby, all that love that I have resisted to embrace came out as I left my little one with someone else. I know what it's like to have to go to work and leave your most precious treasure with a stranger. No matter how nice they seem, it will never be the same. But that same knowledge allows me to assure you that I will make sure we work as a team, not just to look after your little one, but to raise the sort of child YOU want to raise.
