Hi! My name is Kate and I am an energetic, driven and hard working 26 year old with extensive childcare experience and a passion for working with children. For seven years, I spent my summers working with children ages 1 - 14 in a structured day program, where I was responsible for providing direct supervision, activity programming and curriculum instruction. Additionally, for the past 12 years, I have provided childcare for multiple families on a consistent basis, where I assisted with homework, cooked meals, planned outtings and drove to/from school and activities. While in graduate school, I received specialized training in child development and early intervention, as well as worked part time as a specialist providing developmental services for medically fragile children. I have training and a diversified background in working with children with special needs. I earned a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences and my Masters degree in Occupational Read more Therapy. Though I am a New York native, I moved to California to pursue a career in Pediatric Occupational Therapy, working in educational and clinic settings for 2 1/2 years. I recently relocated back to the east coast to join a pediatric private practice as well as pursue my clinical doctorate. II enjoy living an active lifestyle, spending as much time outdoors as possible. When not working, I enjoy yoga, running (particularly at the beach!), reading, traveling to new places, a good movie and spending time with my favorite people!
