I grew up as the oldest of three, and did a lot of helping out with them when my mom had MS relapses. I went through a safe sitter course at the age of 11, and volunteered in my church nursery in middle school, but I didn't start actually babysitting until high school. During high school, I mostly sat for families I already knew. After I graduated high school, I took some time off from school and began sitting/nannying with more regularity and for families to whom I had to apply. I am first aid and EMT-Basic certified, and have worked with children of all ages, from newborn on up, in a variety of settings and situations, including large groups and teaching. I am now in college, and while I'm home for the summer, my goal is to spend some time with people not my age and make some money Read more for studying abroad next semester.
