I have always been naturally good with kids. Kids take a liking to me fairly quickly. I am sweet, kind, and considerate. I am firm with boundaries, but I also give freedom where it's needed. I started volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club in Eureka when I was 18 years old, and I would return there when I was on leave from the Army. When I got out of the Army a week before I turned 21, they offered me a full-time job. I really enjoyed helping out the kids who were in need, keeping kids active and outside, cooking, painting, and creating art. Although I no longer work there full-time, I still volunteer at the Boys & Girls Club. I have been trained in infant, child, and adult CPR and First Aid through the Army, the Red Cross, and the Eureka fire department. I remain currently certified. I Read more was Red Cross volunteer on the disaster action team and I am fully capable of acting quickly and appropriately in any emergency situation. As a veteran, I always stay calm under pressure and am aware of my surroundings.
