I have been in the early childhood education field for almost ten years. I started by taking a child development course at Mendocino college just as a means to fill my class schedule and had no idea how much I would enjoy it. the class was a supervised observation class at the preschool located on campus. I have always loved children and I just felt at home in the classroom. My teacher was so impressed with me that she hired me as a substitute aid and I have been working in a preschool setting ever since. I started working for Head Start in 2008 while still continuing my education and I received my Associate of Science in Child Development in 2010. Although it was not required I also got my Master Teacher Permit through the county which makes me licensed to watch 12 children at a time on my own Read more in the classroom. I have also maintained my first aid and CPR certification continuously until just this past year. I think children are the most joyous and amazing thing a person can have in their life, which is why I have three of my own, ages 8, 3, and 18 months. With the birth of my last child I realized just how precious this time in their lives is and also just how fast they grow up. As a result of this realization I decided to put my career on hold and become a full time mommy and part time teacher, and have been a stay at home mom since then. If you are looking for a young, fun, energetic, compassionate, loving, and responsible person to watch your children then you found her!
