MY BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE: With 10 years of childcare experience and a genuine love for kids, I’m confident in my ability to put parents at ease and make sure kids have fun AND learn a thing or two. My experience includes, but is not limited to: -driving them to and from from school and activities -taking them to the playground, pool, etc. -helping them with homework and projects -feeding them at mealtimes -getting them ready for bed (baths, brushing teeth, story time) I held steady babysitting jobs in my hometown in New York (with one occasional summer nanny job) from the time I started babysitting at age 14 to the time I moved out here to California in 2012. Since moving to California, I've had incredible experiences with a few families, one of which I held a part-time nannying job with. A move from the Westside to the Valley on Read more my end has made working for them less frequent, so I’d love to work with another great family closer to home. MY CARE STYLE: I maintain a friendly but professional relationship with all the parents I work for, and I treat all children as I would want someone to treat my future children (that's a good thing, I promise!). I enjoy doing arts and crafts as much as I love playing sports outside, so I’m able to meet almost any child’s needs and wants in terms of playtime. I pride myself on my ability to create a fun, healthy environment in which kids can learn and grow, but also discipline as needed according to parents’ rules and desires. I don’t just babysit to make a little extra money, although the money is nice. I truly appreciate being around kids, and I feel like I learn as much from them as they learn from me, if not more. All that being said… I would love to make things easier on you, whether you’re a couple or single parent. Please feel free to contact me if you need a one-time babysitter, an occasional babysitter, or if you might want to work out a driving/nannying situation.
