Hi there! My name is Megan and I've been in the care business for over ten years. I am working on my MA in education counseling at SDSU, former UCSC slug who studied Literature and education. I have also studied child development in college (specialized in a course involving infant/toddler care and development), worked as an assistant teacher in kindergarten classes, volunteered in preschool classes and after school camps (K-5), and have been a babysitter for as long as I can remember. I worked in Santa Cruz for a non-profit on writing projects in the k-12 public schools. I am also happy to help with homework or work specifically as a tutor by the hour. Minor house care (like cooking, cleaning up after self/kids) is included. Extra house work may be completed upon request and agreement (laundry, deep cleaning kitchen or house). I'm extremely disappointed in Megan. We interviewed her and she agreed to start working next week. My partner noted after our interview with her that she sounded "way too casual," but I hoped she would prove to be reliable. She just sent us a text message saying that she had found other work but "Good luck!" Be advised: this is not a reliable babysitter.

Megan really impressed me with her confidence around kids. She was warm and friendly with the kids but very much in charge. My kids loved her and we cant wait to have her back.
