Hey there! My name is Aminah and I have been working with children for many years. I grew up in my grandmother's daycare and when I was old enough i began to help her in the daycare. Up until July 2014 I worked at Ikea in Emeryville where i watched kids during the day in the playroom while their parents shopped our store. I am good to motivate and encourage kids to think on their own and make their own choices and come up with their own answers. I hope to meet and talk more personally soon. I am a twenty one year old currently working on a certificate in landscape horticulture/ permaculture at the community college in my area. I have a passion for working with the land and being with nature. Hands in the earth and breathing fresh air is therapeutic for me. I like the idea of Read more reading with or to your child and enjoy reading myself. It's important to engage children early on in reading, writing, and arts. I am looking for a nanny position because I have decided that I am ready to find a job where I can actually build an ongoing relationship with the kid(s) that I work with. I enjoy the company of little ones because they remind me that I was once a child by bringing out my inner child; they remind me to stay patient and take it easy.
