I am a Bay Area native who has been living in Oakland for the past 8 years. I have been taking care of children of all ages since I was 13 years old and have always had work as a child care provider, whether supplemental to my other jobs or as my main source of income. I have spent the last 5 years working in education, most recently as an Instructional Aide at a middle school in Alameda for the last 2 years. I also was a nanny to a family (who I now consider part of my family) that attended the school where I worked, and have been taking care of their three children for the last 4 years. Prior to working as an Instructional Aide, I worked at a K-5th grade school in Oakland as a Student Support Assistant, where I provided leadership opportunities to students and creative, Read more captivating activities, such as games and art projects, to students during recesses and lunch. These experiences have given me tremendous experience with tutoring, homework help, behavioral/emotional support, food prep, housecleaning, and using my energetic, vibrant, fun personality to keep kids feeling happy, engaged, safe, and loved. I love nothing more than getting kids off of a screen and doing something tangible, new, and fun! :) Getting to care for and work with children has been the most gratifying and rewarding experience and I would love to provide my help to families that need a reliable, patient, flexible, and fun-loving sitter.
