Hi! My name is Shadeh (sha-day... like the singer Sade). I graduated from law school in 2016 and decided to start babysitting/nannying while I studied for the bar exam. For one reason or another, I kept having to postpone the exam and the further away I got from it, the more I realized that my passions were elsewhere. I've always had a love for kids, even when I was one myself. Right out of high school I worked for a preschool for three years and a non-profit k-12 after school program for another three years while I finished up my B.A. My friends see the love I have for children so much that I am a god-mom to 4 different boys :) I love having fun with kids and challenging them to learn new things. I find myself to be old enough and experienced enough to have good judgment but also just young enough to not take myself too seriously and be able to get down on a kids level to have fun. Most recently I have spent the last year and a half working with a lovely family with 3 kids (7, 5 and 3). Working 10 hour days, I was responsible for drop offs and picks up for 2 different schools and taking all 3 kids to different extra curricular activities. The youngest child was not in school and was with me full time. We worked on gross and fine motor skills, alphabet, phonics, numbers and math skills. These duties expanded during the COVID-19 pandemic to include the homeschooling of the TK and 2nd grader. In my free time I love riding my bike, cooking for my family and spending time with my dogs. I have reliable transportation and I am always at least five minutes early. My CPR certification has lapsed but I do stay current with latest information and educational videos. I would be willing to become re-certified. I can’t wait to meet you and your kids!
