I grew up in Canada (though born in California) and moved around to various cities after high school, including New Zealand. Eventually I found myself in Seattle where I stayed put for 5 years. The last 2 years in Seattle I worked as a nanny for an incredible family while I worked on getting my degree in Elementary Education. When I started the 3 children were 9, 11, and 13. I was responsible for getting them up and ready for school, taking them to and from school, taking them to and from various after school activities, helping them with homework, walking the dog, helping them with after school snacks and dinner, and light housekeeping. During the summer I worked with this family full time and was in charge of helping the youngest one with meals and keeping her entertained (zoo trips, beach trips, hiking, etc). Beyond this experience, I also Read more nanny'd and babysat for various families as a teenager, nanny'd for a family with a 7 yr old and 9 yr old, attended a 2 summer training program through the YMCA for camp counsellors, and I am an aunt to 2 nieces and a nephew. My experience with children ranges from toddler age to teens. I moved to Oceanside from Seattle, Wa a few months ago. I'm currently a part-time nanny and soon to be full time student at USD. While I have the time I'm looking for occasional date-night work with other families for extra cash and connections while I have the time.
