My name is Chelsea and I am 24 years old. As a young female, I have a range of hobbies and interests. I enjoy hiking, exploring new scenery, exercising, dancing, being social with friends, and family, and of course working with children. Children bring a smile to my face and prove to me that this world is a happy place. I have just completed my Bachelors Degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a minor in Special Needs at San Francisco State and I have decided to move to South Lake Tahoe for the summer. I have been employed through the Child Care section of the City of Pacifica for the past 5 years, as well as working as a part time nanny, and babysitting occasionally for a few different families. Through the City of Pacifica, I have been placed at an elementary school nearby where I work as an Read more after school teacher, and occasional preschool teacher. As an after school teacher, mainly working with children ages 5-13, I am given the tasks of coming up with the curriculum as a team with my coworkers, inventing new art projects, outdoor/indoor games, preparing snack, and helping the children with homework. Other than the curriculum, I also perform these tasks while babysitting. I have been a frequent babysitter/ nanny for the past 9 years for children between the ages of 6mo.-14, as well as a private Irish dancing teacher for younger students enrolled in my academy. Other then my BA from SFSU, I have received my AS degree in Early Childhood Education from Skyline College, and I have also achieved my California Child Development Teacher Permit. I have a reliable car, I am a non- smoker, First Aid/CPR certified, and have attended two certified meetings learning the importance of Mandated reporting held by the County of San Mateo.
