This was the first and last day of daycare. My 10 year old daughter was being cared for from after school until the late evening. About halfway through the first day, the sitter told me she had a flare up of irritable bowel syndrome and was confined to the bathroom. She made my daughter go out to the street "when the horn honked", to retrieve clothing and other items from a male in a truck who she's never met before. My house is a duplex that sits further into the property and I don't live in the safest area. It was also night time. My daughter reported to me that she was scared and didn't feel comfortable with having to do that. I will not have my daughter be around someone who makes irresponsible decisions like that and makes her feel in any way scared. I decided to respectfully inform Sue that it would not work out and she replied with "Fine. Good luck finding someone to watch your kid for $5."
