In 1993 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. I worked in commercial collections for 10 years. Although successful in my collections career, in 2008 I decided to pursue my lifelong passion of working to better the lives of people with special needs. People who have special needs and require assistance in leading a near normal life have always fascinated me not as a subject but on humanitarian grounds. I am a certified Mental Health Peer Advocate and a Certificate of Accomplishment in Human Services. My experience as a Peer Advocate includes assisting clients with, severe mental illness, in developing life skills and coping skills to manage their illness. I currently work with a students diagnosed with autism as a teacher’s aide.
