My entire life has in some way, shape, or form revolved around children. When I was of age of reasoning and handling myself, I was placed in my grandmothers daycare center that she ran out of home. Although I was young myself, I was always more than a help for her being her grandchild. Growing up I would always babysit family children and friends of families children because my mother would speak so highly of me as a sitter. Then I landed my first real job as a Swim Instructor for the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center where I worked for nearly two years when I decided to leave to focus on school. At the Rose Bowl I gained invaluable experience when it came to handling children of all ages and backgrounds! Working there I had seen it all. It taught me immense patience and discipline in dealing with children who Read more aren't of age of speaking and/or listening skills. Why I choose babysitting over an average jobs? A few reasons come to mind. Being a college student it isn't exactly the easiest thing to have a work schedule around a scholastic schedule and I have found children's care to be a very flexible opportunity that also gives me the chance to have fun on the "job". Also, naturally being well rounded with children, I find it the best and most convenient for myself to get paid to do what I wouldn't mind doing for free. I find it a win/win for myself and the parent(s).
