My name is Abby! Since 2012 I have been volunteering off and on in order to gain experience with children as that is my passion. From 2012-2013 I would help out at a family friends day care with up to 8 children ages 1-10 years old. I would help read books, teach lessons, set up nap time, prepare and serve meals, play with the children, as well as teach arts and crafts! From 2012-2014 I would help assist my mother with respite working, helping to care for and teach children with autism. With this job it was almost exactly like the daycare, just a little different. I assisted in teaching, reading, playing, serving/preparing meals, assisted in nap time, and helped during outings. I as well would babysit for a family friends children ages 4 and 10. I would watch them overnight every Tuesday and Thursday! I am CPR and First Read more Aid certified! On a personal note, I am going to school for ECE to become a certified preschool teacher. I love to do arts and crafts, and on my free time I love to hike and explore northern California! Helping shape the lives of children is my passion and I look forward to doing it for a living.
