My name is Courtney and I am a 22-year-old recent college graduate. I absolutely love working with children, as I frequently babysat for many families on my street in Poway from my middle school years all the way until I moved away. I will be home permanently now and would love to get into nannying for families around the Poway area. In my free time I love spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, reading good books and being active outdoors. Additionally, I spend a portion of my free time donating and volunteering for Cancer research fundraisers and at my church here in Poway. Up at school I worked 20 hours a week in the Communications Department as a receptionist/student assistant. I worked there since freshman year and I enjoyed it very much. I was in the process of obtaining a minor in Spanish until I Read more switched directions in my second year, so although I am not fluent, I do have a pretty solid foundation of the language basics. I have a passion for reading and writing and would love to help develop the kids' skills in these areas or any others. I am friendly, kind, loving, and very, very patient. :) On the one hand, I can be silly, but on the other, I know how and when it is right to enforce discipline. I have taken two courses in childhood development, and my BA is in Sociology, so I know how to interact with others in a tolerant, patient, and understanding manner.
