Hi there! I am a science teacher currently teaching at the middle school level, but looking for opportunities to tutor and babysit on weekends to help me save up to for some trips I would like to go on in 2017, and also help me take some tennis lessons I would like to begin to improve my serve! A little bit about me - I am a big science buff, love hiking and rock climbing, playing tennis, cooking (I've famous for my chili and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!) and adore teaching and working with little ones. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin back in 2011. During my time at UT, I successfully balanced a number of babysitting jobs, internships, volunteered with local youth, took classes full time and maintained leadership positions in my sorority. I moved out to Los Angeles in Summer of 2011, where I obtained Read more my master’s degree from Loyola Marymount and enjoyed one of the greatest jobs on the planet - being a teacher! I returned to Texas in 2015 to continue teaching in East Austin. In mt 5 1/2 years as an educator, have been nominated for awards for my instruction and have been consistently applauded for my organization, structure and positivity in my classroom. When I babysit, I enjoy creating fun learning experiences for the kiddos - whether it's little science experiments (like making "slime" or tie dye milk to teach about molecules!) or art projects inspired by books we read. I also happily tutor children on school subjects where they need support, helping with homework or studying for upcoming assessments. I have years of experience tutoring, teaching and working with kids, and am regularly requested back by families because of my responsibility, dependability and great report with the children.
