I am an old soul with a young heart, which can be attributed to my having cared for children from a young age. I am the youngest of several siblings, and I have 8 nephews and 5 nieces. I've looked after each one- often several at once- from ages 0-15, and with a select few from the group come challenges such as autism, epilepsy, and Down's syndrome. Needless to say, nephews and nieces were great preparation for babysitting jobs, mentoring programs, and even teaching positions that came later. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, and while there I was a volunteer for a tutor/mentor program at an elementary school. Post graduation, I coached young children in an acting class at the Neil Hamilton Agency in Houston. I have taken care of children of teachers and bosses. I enjoy being around and listening to kids because it's no Read more secret that they can teach adults just as much as they learn from them. I am playful and fun and handle challenges with patience and understanding.
