Hi, my name is Esther Fino and I have recently retired from elementary public school teaching. Circumstances have brought me back to my hometown of Redondo Beach and I am so happy to be "home" again. But after being super busy teaching in two different districts spanning 30 years, I find myself wanting more to do. I have taught almost all elementary grades with the majority of my years teaching in the primary grades. My degree is in literature. I am still teacher certified despite having retired in 2014. The last time I babysat, I was a teenager. However, I have the experience of managing anywhere from 32 to 40 first graders at one time! Having the opportunity to work one to one with one student is something I would like very much. On a personal note, I grew up partly in Los Angeles and then Redondo Beach. I met Read more my husband at Redondo High. I speak Greek, my childhood primary language. I am 58 years old, but don't feel that old at all. I take yoga and weight lifting classes to stay active.
