Hi, my name is Val and I was a full time nanny for 10 years and babysat for years prior to being a nanny. I've also worked as a Kindergarten and 1st grade Teacher's Assistant, and an After School Program Leader. I earned an Early Childhood Education Certificate from Skyline College, and studied fine art, digital art, and photography as well (taking pictures of kids is my specialty). I have plenty of experience working with twins, newborns, toddlers and school-aged kids, and can manage dynamic households well. Most of my jobs included occasional overnight care, which I'm currently available for on weekends. At the moment, I'm hosting a preschool pod one day/week, and teach a kid's art class one day/week. I'm looking for additional work as a one-time babysitter, or an occasional babysitter for one or two families (1-3x per month). At times, I may even bring some of my Read more art project kits (if that's something the kids would be into), creating more of an "adventure," as Sittercity calls it. I'm very playful, imaginative, creative and genuinely love spending time with babies and children. I'm Trustline Registered (extensive background check), and have completed CPR and First Aid training about five times over the years. I'm always professional, punctual, and I exercise good judgement at all times.
