Greetings! I have taught somebody something since grade school. I LOVE helping, especially children. I have a Masters’ degree in Theology with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling from Fuller Graduate School of Theology, (Pasadena, CA) and a BSIE from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL).My core skill set includes active listening, collaborating, teaching/coaching, motivating, communicating and facilitating. My core skill-set was jumped-started in my seventh grade year when I was one of a small group selected to spend one day each week working in one-on-one and group settings with special needs children in a private school. Once I had the profound experience of being responsible to ensure that my 4 year old charge safely and completely ate his small squares of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich there was no turning back from a career always having to do something to help people live better lives. Since completing my MA, I have Read more worked with every age group from infant through adult in a variety of educational and special needs settings- paid and volunteer. I received specialized training in autism from the Fraser Center (Minneapolis, MN) while obtaining a substitute teaching credential with St. Paul Public Schools. This summer (2014), I completed an online course in The Clinical Psychology of Children and young people with the University of Edinburgh. I am happy to provide a resume and references upon request.
