Hello and nice to meet you! For the past 10 years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with kids. Currently, I work am working as a substitute teacher with a set of charter schools. Working alongside children everyday is an honor. Moreover, I appreciate the uniqueness of each child's personality and skill set. I have done a several internships/volunteer work involving working with children. These internships involved mentoring children, tutoring children and engaging with children in activities such as outside play, creative art work and reading. When caring for children, while it is important to a figure of authority, it is equally important to engage with them in any way possible. It builds relationships and makes caring for the child that much more special. When working with kids, I make it a priority to be intentional in getting to know their personalities. I find communication is key with Read more parents of the children I am caring for and with the children I am caring for. From working in early care and education, one of the philosophies I was taught was positive reinforcement and communication with the children to know their needs and to keep in mind any discipline/redirection for safety reasons. Additionally, it is equally important to know which boundaries and limits parents have set for their children. In this way, I have found maintaining consistent communication with parents is important in letting them know how the day went. As far as my rates go, it will be based on the minimum rate from a babysitting calculator given my experience. Ultimately I provide the best service that I can to the children and their parents. So be assured, you will be receiving HIGH QUALITY care for your children. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
