I have been a caregiver for over 15 years. I have watched for all different types of families, with all different kinds of backgrounds. Recently I nannied for a family from 10.2013 to 3.2015. Currently I work in a Montessori Tues. and Thurs. mornings, but this is flexible. 3.2013 to Present. I have experience with all ages, genders, multiples, and special needs. I have potty trained 4 children, 2 mine, and 2 that I cared for. I am proficient in all areas that come to children. With older children I am able to help them with homework, I am proficient in proofreading. My strongest subject is English/Grammar, I am able to help with all other subjects. In my home/ about me: I have pets, a small terrier (Zoey) who is behavior trained by myself (experienced), and 2 cats (Jackson & Lucy). Our backyard is home to a variety of birds Read more that we love to make feeders for as a craft project in the spring. I have 2 children myself, 8 and 6 year old girls. Both are advanced learners and I work and read with them regularly. I am able to tutor/help with most subjects, and experience in art, and dance. I am athletic and able to help with most sports. I volunteer at my daughter’s school as the roomparent, garden docent, and art docent. We learn about works of art that are from the Crocker Art Museum, and let the children formulate their own opinions and what they see, and then do a similar piece of their own, in different mediums. We learn about gardening and nutrition. I do not have specific care giving philosophy other than keeping the parents and children happy. Every family wants and does different things for their children and I respect that. In my home we enjoy playing with lots of different board games or imaginary play. We do arts & crafts daily. Outside we play with chalk, ride bikes/scooters, or play in the water. At the park we play tennis, softball, soccer, running and football. We enjoy gardening. Our favorite thing we made last year was the sidewalk paint.
Trust & safety
We encourage parents to conduct their own screenings using the background check tools. See what each of the badges covered, or learn more about keeping your family safe by visiting the Trust & Safety Center.
