I am recent graduate with a MA in Counseling from the University of San Diego in San Diego, CA. Prior to moving to San Diego for Graduate School, I graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2010 and then worked as a Faculty Research Assistant at the University of Maryland at College Park for two-years. As a Faculty Research Assistant, I had the opportunity of working on several NIH-funded research projects. While living in Washington, DC I had the pleasure of volunteering with the Homeless Children's Playtime Project. The Homeless Chlidren's Playtime Project (HCPP) is a grass-roots organization that focuses on providing one-on-one attention, healthy snacks and access to developmentally appropriate toys and activities designed to help reduce the effects of trauma among children currently living in temporary housing programs throughout the District.
